YOUTH - Mission Trip to Cherokee, NC Plan to meet in the Kmart parking lot next Sunday at 2pm where we will depart for our trip.
There most likely will not be a lot of extra space for luggage so pack smartly with mostly essentials, see below or the checklist provided with permission forms:
• Be sure to pack comfortable clothing that you don’t mind messing up or getting paint on, old tennis shoes for working in
• Work gloves and hat or visor, sunglasses
• Refillable water bottle
• Be sure to pack sunscreen and bug repellant
• Linens/sleeping bag and pillow
• Be sure to pack a bathing suit and towel (there is a pool we can use at the college)
• Pack appropriate clothing for a rafting/tubing trip
• Bible
• Flashlight
• $ for 1-2 possible light meals (planning to use funds raised recently via carwash, zumbathon & supper club donation for gas, free day activity and meals not covered but just in case those funds don’t go that far....) I think $20 would be more than sufficient and if they don’t need it...they can always bring it home (don’t laugh too hard here  )
• LAST but certainly not LEAST! An open mind and willing attitude to do whatever we are asked to do and with a smile. Most of you will be asked to work harder than you may have ever worked before and under conditions you may have never had to work in. You may be asked to do things you have never done before but the youth leaders and other adult chaperones will be right there with you and we will all learn together. This trip is all what we make of it so let’s make it GREAT!

ZUMBA is coming to Sunrise!!
With the beginning of the New Year, everyone makes that “get in shape” resolution so by request, I am starting up two weekly classes of Zumba at Sunrise. Who am I and what is Zumba? I am Diana Reed, a member here at Sunrise. Zumba is a latin-inspired workout that uses cool music and moves to work out your entire body without the dull aerobic moves. All fitness levels are welcome.
I can tell you that Zumba has worked wonders for me. I have lost 16 pounds over the last few months just by doing Zumba two to three times a week. I have loved it so much that I became an Instructor in August of 2009. So come join me by ditching the workout and joining the party that is ZUMBA!
When: Monday nights from 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm and Thursday nights from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm, starting Monday January 11, 2010.
Where: In the sanctuary of SUMC
Who: YOU!!!!!!!! And a lot of other fun people of all fitness levels.
Cost: This is no charge for the class. You are however, more than welcome to make any donation you feel is appropriate.
Childcare is by request only. My daughter Lindsey would be able to watch any children for a fee and with prior notice. So please call ahead to 336-766-3224 if you need childcare.
