Sunrise will be doing a “drive thru breakfast” in the church parking lot the week of August 30th through September 3rd. This is the first full week of school and is typically a hectic time of year for families. We will be providing a completely free (no donations accepted) breakfast (coffee, Krispy Kremes, granola bars, juice, and fruit). We will be serving from 6:30 to 8:30 each morning.
We are doing this under the general banner that God’s love is freely given and so is this breakfast. This is just one of many steps of loving on our neighbors and working towards our goal of growing our Church.
If you would like to help, you can volunteer to help staff the breakfast, give a donation (this breakfast will be funded completely by donations from within the church), or help to make the signs that will be posted on our road and around Lewisville. If you aren’t able to help, make sure you swing by that week to say Hello and grab some food.
If you put a check in the offering, just designate it to Sunrise Breakfast. If you are interested in volunteering or the signs, please contact Adam Norris (adjnorris@yahoo.com) or James Shore (shorejn@wfu.edu).

ZUMBA is coming to Sunrise!!
With the beginning of the New Year, everyone makes that “get in shape” resolution so by request, I am starting up two weekly classes of Zumba at Sunrise. Who am I and what is Zumba? I am Diana Reed, a member here at Sunrise. Zumba is a latin-inspired workout that uses cool music and moves to work out your entire body without the dull aerobic moves. All fitness levels are welcome.
I can tell you that Zumba has worked wonders for me. I have lost 16 pounds over the last few months just by doing Zumba two to three times a week. I have loved it so much that I became an Instructor in August of 2009. So come join me by ditching the workout and joining the party that is ZUMBA!
When: Monday nights from 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm and Thursday nights from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm, starting Monday January 11, 2010.
Where: In the sanctuary of SUMC
Who: YOU!!!!!!!! And a lot of other fun people of all fitness levels.
Cost: This is no charge for the class. You are however, more than welcome to make any donation you feel is appropriate.
Childcare is by request only. My daughter Lindsey would be able to watch any children for a fee and with prior notice. So please call ahead to 336-766-3224 if you need childcare.
